Permitting & design
Additions almost always require permits and often structural drawings. We coordinate with local architects/engineers when needed and attend inspections so you are not stuck translating code language alone.
Timeline reality: Design + permitting can take 6–16 weeks before carpentry starts, depending on the town. On-site construction for a modest single-story addition often runs 3–6 months after permits.
What we do not take on
- New custom homes from bare land (outside our focus)
- Large multifamily or high-rise work
- Projects requiring extensive historic-district variance fights without a designer of record
